| M1. mag 8.4 size : 6.0' x 4.0' - Stars trailed in the x128 integration. After recoding for half an hour of the featureless comet I turned to M1 - the Crab Nebula. To find this famous object I first located the beta Tau and looked to the right to find dimmer zeta Taurus. Uisng the slow-mo alt-az I was surprised to be able to detect M1 n the LCD. |

Jan 14/15 '05 - Sky was hazy but decided to sleep late to experiment the effect of different settings of the Mintron to optimize images. Toward the early morning I saw Eta Carina rising above the clouds and with it came the 'old time favorites' star clusters and I look forwards more dry sky... |
